BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is BlackBerry’s first clamshell form-factor PDA phone. The Flip 8220 has beautiful design and finish - chrome-finished frame surrounding its smooth, luminescent face. Unlike other clamshell phones in the market that are packed with relatively cheap external LCD screens, the 8220 is packed with an high-resolution external LCD screen that allows users to view text messages, calls, and even emails without opening the phone. A bigger internal LCD screen allows users to browse the Internet, and read or write emails with ease. Features and specifications of the Pearl Flip 8220 include a built-in GPS navigation system, MP3 music player, a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 2.0-megapixel digital camera.
