My phone freezes and I am not able to use any of the services. Sometimes its wrong icon responding. I cannot read my mail, open my phonebook or anything at all. What could be the problem and how do I solve the problem.
Hello Guys. I have the same problem and I found out the problem. The problem is a faulty contact from the touchscreen leading to the phone board. To be short: on the right side of the phone were the volume buttons are, under the touchscreen is the screen's contact. Try "detaching the screens face a little from the phone body exactly at the volume down button(using ur fingernail or something) and see if the touchscreen is responding in anyway. My phone has a bad contact there, and in normal mode all is frozen. Now if I try to pull towards me, the touchscreen frame from the rest of the chassis, only a mm SURPRISE!! My touchscreen is working. IF this is your case too...I suggest get a screw-driver and open the chassis, and trying to make the connection permanent, somehow. I haven't done this yet, but will do it today. If anyone is interested I could post the results:) PS: you can send it back to warranty of a repair phone shop, only to force you to buy a new touchscreen and pay for the repairs, on a 99% working phone, with a faulty contact. The choice is yours:)
I made some spelling and words error above, so I'll correct them :

Helifax, you are genius. Been trying to get my pixon sorted for 2 months now. Took me a while but managed to follow your instructions. Your a star. Wish had googled this info sooner!!! Thanks
Wow it worked for me too. Thank you so much for posting the info. wished I had googled it sooner and saved myself hours of annoyance and frustration. Thanks hun
That's the best solution offered so far for the problem for this phone. I'll try it tonight and let you guys know. I'm very disappointed with this phone, considering it is not a cheap phone. Perhaps I should've gotten a LG instead.
has any1 managed to fix this problem, coz ive tried everything n its driving me mad!!!sumtimes i cant use my fone 4 up2 12 hours then it jus works again, sum 1 please help? ?
Sorry for the late reply. I tried to open the case unfortunatly I managed to unscrew one screw. On my phone the other was completly stuck(and I used the proper tools...yeah I know they are very small Philips type screws). So being stuck with only one screw removed and one still on the case, I needed a different aproach...I know this is not very high tech or something but here it is : from a match I chopped a little piece of wood and inserted it between the case and the digitizer(it's like 2 mm piece of wood) which then I painted it black with a marker :)) ) On a close inspection you can see it, but not from afar. So, now, from the last week on, my phone is working perfectly. Again I dunnot encourage this if your phone has a warranty. If, however, like in my case, you have the phone without a warranty try to do this. It should work if this is the same problem as mine. I will try to make a picture of my phone and post it here:)
i had same prob then read this post and cuz mine is under warrenty instead of lifting up the efge of the screen in pressed hard on the edge above the down volume button and it worked, couldnt have done it with out the pionters from halifax tho
i couldnt do the halifax why as my case around my screen wernt lifting i tried your way an it worked straight away am so relievd it has been frooze since yesterday teatime, i didnt really wont to tell my mum an dad or they would go mental lol, so thank you very much you have saved my life lol :)
tryed pressing on the side really hard next to the down volume it worked straight away, have had to do it a few times though to get it working again but better than paying the price at the shop to get it fixed when its not really broken. x
My Phone Pixon M8800 too has the same problem.
The screen is frozen and it is not responding.
Pls let me know clearly how I shoud fix this problem. You mentioned about detaching the screens face a little from the phone body exactly at the volume down button(using ur fingernail or something)
How i can do this, I couldn't any gap where I can detach the screen face from the phone body.
Even me too has the same problem. Screen is frozen and not responding.
To fix this problem, you have mentioned that "detach the screens face a little from the phone body exactly at the volume down button(using ur fingernail or something)
Pls let me know how u have done this. I couldn't find any gap at the volume down button.
I did as everyone had said and luckily it started working again. It had been off for hours and is very annoying!! It messed it up a bit when trying to send a text, so i ran a needle all the way around the side near the volume, it got a bit of muck out and started working fine again. I bet it doesnt last long though. Thanks for the help :-)
Whats up with this phone? I have had to send mine off to T-Mobile to get fixed, even though this is the 2nd time I have had to send it for repair, I have only had it since January this year and it's still under warranty, they will not exchange it.
Thanks, mate your advice WORKED! the Screen-Freeze kept happening at randoms times and sometimes for up hours to days? (was always working so couldnt bring it in under warranty) and i know what there like for messing people about when it comes to ligitimat problems or repairs. Anyway, tried your advice and Hey presto! solved the problem, at least i can use/tranfere phone, contacts etc.. in the meantime and then ill go back to the store. people should pay You for the advise not those unhelpful ones whos probably 90% only intention is to try fob you off or make you pay more £££.
Lifted the screen worked for me too. I just inserted a pointed needle at the side of the screen where the volume controls are, and lifted to some mm. Thanks Helifax for the solution.
When I got this phone, I thought it was really great. Now, after 6 months or so, my touch screen almost never works, and it's gotten to the point where simply pulling the screen away from the chassis a little no longer brings it back. I'm more than a little frustrated.
I've attempted to unscrew the chassis screw a little, but to no avail (It's stuck in there pretty tight, I'd need some more heavy duty screwdrivers than the ones I have).
T-Mobile's answer was "Either we can take it and you'll get it back in 28 days, or you can go over the road to the Nokia/Samsung @ fonebox shop and speak to the Samsung rep, they can do it in a day." So not only is their customer service not what I'd hoped for, but they'd also rather pass the book.
In any case, I've found the if I squeeze the screen gently at the top-right (near the volume button) it comes back, temporarily.
HELP!!
i've tried all the stuff everyone's said but t's still not working,it's reaaly annoying does anyone else know any more solutions?, annd if anything ireally dont wana go and have to take it into the shop cause that happened to my last phone and it took forever, and ihave to go to school everyday and ireally need my phone
Brilliant. This has been frustrating me all day and thanks to this advice it's sorted, but it does only work if the battery cover is on (i was trying other things before i read this. they didn't work)
well i was just ready to throw my pixon through the window when i tried the pressing the screen thing - and it worked! i do think it is a rubbish fault and i will be taking my phone back to the 02 shop to see if they will replace it. they have had plenty of my money over the years x
I've looked a trailer for the "2012". I was interested in this theme.

Thanks Helifax and Andylad 81... was loosing the plot with my pixon as it always froze as I desperately needed it! Will be another 8 months before I can upgrade but I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PHONE AGAIN!! Once bitten and all....
Hey guys, dunno if anyone's written about this already (I couldn't be bothered to read it all) but recently when I go to use my camera, the black screen with the camera logo on it just stays there and I have to turn my phone off and on again to unfreeze it. Any ideas whats going on or am I gonna have to send it back?
thank you jim! i tried the other solutions but they didnt work for me but yours did i just gently pressed the top right hand corner of my screen but sometimes i have to hold it there while txtin.
I've read the other posts about the camera, the blur thing happens to me too. Also sometimes the lens cover doesnt open when i go into camera mode, anyone out there who could lend a helping hand
